My practice plays with perception, creating works that demand closer inspection in order to witness an elusive arrangement of line. Influenced by Minimalism and Abstract Expressionism, I explore contemporary painting. Through the tranquil mark-making process, I delve into the idea of transitive expression. This explains how my slow brushstrokes, repetitive actions and focused mental state, has potential to (both conscious and subconsciously) translate into delicate, harmonious compositions.
I aspire to work within the wedding industry, potentially venue set up, decorating or floristry. I would also continue with my practice alongside my career.
