Seana McEvoy
I tell stories through my work, influenced by Surrealist artists such as Paula Rego and Dorothea Tanning along with Irish storytellers, such as C.S. Lewis, this project is titled "Land of Forgotten People." It aims to create a narrative surrounding strangers family photos dated around 1940/50 I found in an antique shop. Using these photos as the core of my practice, my aim is to bring these individuals to the forefront. Although I do not know them or know anything about them apart from what they look like, one of my purposes has been to develop a connection to these people by spending time creating work surrounding them.
Through my love of storytelling and having gained a wide-range of practical and technical skills, my career aim is to become a Production designer for film and theatre.
