Saffron Saunderson
Saffron is a Printed Textile design graduate who has developed a unique mixed media design direction. This predominantly focuses on mark making, print making and large scale painterly techniques.
‘Blooming Impressions’ is a play-on-words, showcasing large-scale florals. Designs were created using various experimental impressionistic print techniques, whilst also being inspired by the Impressionists. This contemporary interior collection translates the narrative of glorious childhood memories of summers spent in her grandparents’ garden surrounded by beautiful flowers. The exciting collection demonstrates successfully how colour barriers can be broken through the confident use of bright and vibrant colours in order to create a fresh and modern Scandinavian collection. After a very successful placement year working at five different internships, Saffron is looking to enter a creative role within the print design, fashion or interiors industry.
