Rowena Judd
Rowena specialises in producing prints for interior fabrics and wallpapers. Drawing on painting, photography and design skills, she creates collections aimed at luxury residential projects.
'The Inherent Beauty of Structure' is a collection derived from first-hand drawings and photography, taken amidst the skyscrapers of London. It is combined with an appreciation of the work of architectural photographer, Ezra Stoller. She has found Stoller's photographs of the Seagram building particularly inspiring for the consideration of light, angles and reflection. Observing the juxtaposition of glass, steel and concrete, Rowena has considered the durability and textural elements of her designs, looking at matte and shine within different fabrics and screen-printed processes. Futurism has inspired her to use an integration of cubism, photographic elements and abstraction to create a unique project. With the knowledge she has gained through the Textiles: Innovation and Design course, Rowena aims to progress into an interior design role.
