Sonder
The inspiration for this piece of work stemmed from the word ‘sonder’; a word coined by John Koenig which describes the realisation that each individual in the world has a life as complex as your own and possesses their own storyline. My illustration aims to suggest this feeling in the environment of a party, where multiple narratives are happening simultaneously.
Olivia Collins
Focusing on illustration, I have identified my own visual language by experimenting with a range of different materials and methods. Adopting both traditional and digital approaches has allowed my outcomes to become uniquely playful and energetic.
Upon graduation I aim to pursue a career in illustration. I hope to continue the work I have started with Pickle Illustration, a start-up business created with Lauren Jefferis. We offer creative solutions to businesses within the Midlands area through bespoke and lively illustrations. Both of us are excited to see where this opportunity will take us and are enjoying the experience of working with a diverse range of clients.
