Are we truly happy in maturity? I certainly am not. This lack of contentment led me to begin juxtaposing my intricate, time-consuming portrait studies with the more careless scribbles of infant children. Many aspects of my pieces are intended to imply said aura of disillusionment (whether it is the expression upon the subject's face or the aforementioned mark-makings of toddlers), allowing the audience to spark a debate within themselves as to whether they share my disappointment towards adult life.

My preference for illustration and graphics has always shone through my work during my time at Loughborough. I now intend to study a Masters programme in Advertising and Public Relations; creative advertising is a field that would be well-suited to both my skill set and my experiences as an observational, contemporary young adult. Skills/Strengths: - Illustration (pencil crayon, graphite, ink) and painting - Animation - Able to use digital softwares with ease (especially Adobe)

Experience

- Sector Design & Marketing Ltd: The catalyst for my interests in the world of advertising, my time at this award-winning retail marketing company was a memorable and rewarding experience. - Spent some previous years taking in portrait commissions, thus allowing me to acquire an understanding of budgeting for materials, time management and, most importantly, how to market myself correctly. - Several previous part-time paid positions which, although not directly relevant to my career aspirations (or my studies), were valuable in teaching me the importance of professionalism and efficiency.
