'Urban & Natural Landscapes' is an interior collection to be based in hot desking locations. One of the project's main concerns is the environment: it uses recycled and eco materials to help create awareness. The theme of the collection originated mainly from sunset landscapes but combines with urban landscapes to create more of a visual story. The theme translates a range of drawings, paintings and photography into innovative textile outcomes through the use of jacquard, laser cutting, digital print and digital embroidery. It uses a range of materials, from hard perspex to soft sheers, creating interesting textile surfaces. The colour palette has been based on the soft colours throughout the sunsets. This project has extensively used a range of digital programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Wilcom Embroidery. The programs provide a great support for all the processes and are used in combination with the machines.
