To create an imagined world, the development of ideas came from altering initial photography. Inspired by the work of Ernst Haeckel and taking further inspiration from the existing world, including plants and microscopic details. Additionally, visiting an exhibition held by the V & A about video games made me think about alternative worlds. With the use of double imagery and illusions, the work also touches on the idea of dreams and imagination. Working with the idea of light and incorporating materials which are transparent and translucent in quality such as acrylic, silk and chiffon. These materials can be made to resemble glass which have a delicate and fragile quality to them. The work produced is intended for a high-end fashion accessories collection.
