Featured projects
Colour Free Climbs: Part 1
I have created a solution for colourblind rock-climbers, who struggle to differentiate between certain coloured routes. My product is a patterned disk designed to be attached to the climbing wall behind the holds which cause confusion. It is designed to be seamless against the wall, providing a clear guide for colourblind users, as well as helping regular sighted climbers when the issue of chalk/rubber marks also interferes with the colour of certain holds.
Tenth Reserve Whisky: Part 1
This project was a competition entry to the Chrysalis and Brand Opus design brief to create an innovative alcohol brand which evokes a strong sense of place. My chosen place was Snowdonia National Park, and I decided to focus on the fact that Snowdonia is the tenth Dark Sky Reserve in the world. I created my designs with hikers and backpackers in mind, appealing to the types of walkers who enjoy a drink after a long day out in the mountains.
Rhubarb Rhubarb App: Part 1
This is a group booking app designed to be used by regular theatre goers in their 50s. Groups can easily organise trips together, pay separately for tickets and pre-pay for interval drinks before they go. This project aims to take the hassle out of organising friends' trips to the theatre by enabling users to make quick decisions on dates and times, and allowing them to pre-book everything associated with their trip before they leave the sofa.
Rhubarb Rhubarb App: Part 2
Some of the main features of my theatre booking app.
Tenth Reserve Whisky: Part 2
Full label designs for my whisky bottles submitted to Brand Opus.

Steph Carr
While primarily focusing on service design, my work involves a range of specialisms including illustration, branding and photography.
My work has progressed throughout my degree towards improving and creating new services for people in their everyday activities. I love working on solutions which are tangible, allowing my projects to be applied to real places and people. I have developed a strong understanding of the service design process and would like to continue to develop my skills in this area when I move into the industry. Also being a keen illustrator, I enjoy taking a hands-on approach when solving design briefs. Moving away from my digital screens to use materials such as paint, charcoal and collage often allows me to generate more individual and original designs.
