Kate Dixon
Kate specialises in detailed print design focusing on dynamic global issues, cultural traditions and natural intricacies. She explores topics with an importance in today's world; using photography, drawing and research to compose intricate designs.
The world is in a race to limit climate change. Many people are in denial and desensitised to the affects of this harsh reality. 'Virtual Climate' aims to outline the detachment many feel towards the future of our climate, and visualise this as a parallel dimension and abstract universe. Kate combines contemporary materials with vibrant palettes and exciting processes. The use of hand drawing and digital skills are fundamental in creating powerful collections. Kate aspires to work within the fashion and accessories industry.
